How to seperate music from your VODS while streaming!

There’s an easy way to avoid muted VODS and DMCA strikes! This 5 easy steps you can separate your music from your VODs and play any music you'd like on stream!

First, install the free ‘Voicemeeter Banana’ software. This software lets the user keep their microphone audio, music, and game sound all on separate sources so OBS knows what to remove from their VODs.

Second, make sure that in Voicemeeter Banana under ‘Virtual Inputs’ you have ‘A1’ and ‘B1’ highlighted underneath ‘Voicemeeter VAIO.’ Next, make sure you only have ‘A1’ selected.

Third, in your Windows Sound Settings select ‘VoiceMeeter Input VAIO’ as your output device, and under ‘App volume and device preferences, set your music software’s output as ‘VoiceMeeter AUX Input.’

Lastly, Create two new Audio Output Captures in your OBS. Name the first one ‘Music’ and set the source Device to ‘VoiceMeeter AUX Input’. The second one can be named ‘Game Audio’ with the source Device being ‘VoiceMeeter Input.’ Now right click the Audio Mixer panel and select ‘Advanced Audio Properties.’ In the panel be sure to untick every box next to ‘Music’ except for the first one.

Now it’s time to activate Twitch Vod Track. Inside OBS go to ‘Settings’ then ‘Output.’ Inside the window tick the ‘Enable Advanced Encoder Settings’ then tick the ‘Twitch Vod Track’ box.

Now you’re all setup with Twitch Vod Track! The next time you go live you’ll be able to listen to whatever music you want with less risk of your vods being striked and muted.
